- Are the Yummi Bear products lead-free?
YES! We are a California company and goverened by Prop 65 which limits the amount of lead, even naturally occuring lead a product can contain.- What is the source of the gelatin used in the Yummi Bear products?
The gelatin is from pork hide.
- What is the source of the coloring used in the Yummi Bear products?
Our products contain natural colors, including black carrott, annatto and grape skin liquid.
Why doesn't Hero Nutritional Products add calcium to their Multi-Vitamin products?
Calcium is a mineral that is handled differently. We do not add is as part of our multi, due to the varying amounts children require of calcium vs other nutrients. We do offer a calcium supplement.
- Your Yummi Bears Multi-Vitamin has Vitamin C included in the formula. Is it safe to consume the Yummi Bears Multi-Vitamins along with the Yummi Bears Vitamin C?
There is alot of debate on how much vitamin C is safe to consume. For your particular child's needs, I suggest you consult your health care professional.
- What is the youngest age of a child recommended to consume Yummi Bears Multi-Vitamins and Supplements on a daily basis?
The daily value for children up to 4 and then 4 - adult is listed on the back panel. For children who are very young, it is best to make certain they can safely chew and swallow the supplements. As always, if you have any doubts, check with your health care professional.

Fortunately, iron is purposely omitted from the formula due to the attractive taste profile. "Several" parents call weekly with concerns about their child getting in to the bottle and consuming more than the daily dosage. Generally, the only problem would be a little tummy ache depending on how much is consumed. Again, if you have any concerns, please check with your local health care professional.
- Are the Yummi Bears products safe for children and adults with allergies?
Our products are produced in an allergen free room, however, Federal law requires that we state they are produced in a facility that also produces peanut products. HOWEVER, the products are NOT produced on the same line or in the same area. Although this statement has just recently appeared on our packages, NOTHING has changed in the way or place it's been manufactured. In other words, if your child has been taking the Yummi Bears supplements and has not had any adverse effects, you are fine to continue. - What is the shelf-life of your products?
The products are shelf stable for two years provided they are kept reasonably cool, meaning not left in a car or near a heat source where they might melt.

I'm not familiar with PDD. The ChildBright product is forumaled for children to improve their concentration and attention span. Most of the parents who have called in comment on the positive affects on their children. ChildBright should be taken daily and for a period of at least 4 weeks to see results.

I am going to assume you are talking about ADD.....many parents call to praise the ChildBrite product. There is a mother who was picking her 7yr old at least weekly for behavior problems.....he has been taking ChildBrite and although she stills gets an occasional phone call.....the behavior problems have become manageable and his attention span has increased. It is VERY important when you are giving ChildBrite to be consistent with it and allow about 40 days to see results, although most people say the results are within a week or two.
- The outer seal was intact but the inner seal seemed loose. Is the product still safe?
If the outer seal is intact, the product is safe. The inner seal may appear to be loose since there is moisture in the product it sometimes causes the inner seal to become loose. Certainly, if you have any doubt, take the product back to the store you purchased it from and ask for a replacement.
- I noticed the % DV on your new multivit/mineral sour bears and worms is 100% for age 4 -adult, but the original flavor bears is only 50% per serving for age 4-adult. Are you planning to change that ( make a multi that gives 100% for the older child?) as not sure my child really would eat the sour ones and I like the idea that he could get 100% in one serving, now that he is 7 years old.
The Yummi Bears brand is based on the great taste profile. The Sourz flavors "masks" the vitamins and minerals better than the fruit flavors. You can get the same amounts by giving more of the Multi Vitamin, which would be two servings, but it would be difficult to get that amount in a "regular" bears and stll have them have that same great taste.
