FAQ
The sides of the bottles of GugulPlex I recently purchased have fallen in, as if the bottle was crushed. However, it was never opened. What is causing this?
The technical term for this phenomenon is "paneling". We have investigated this issue carefully but have not yet determined the cause. Despite extensive testing in our in-house laboratory we have been unable to duplicate the exact conditions that cause paneling. Although we believe that the cause is a reaction between the herbal ingredients and the bottle in certain specific environmental conditions, because we have not been able to induce paneling in our lab to study in detail, we cannot say for certain this is what is happening.
However, there is no change to the product in a bottle that has experienced paneling, and it safe to use. We would very much appreciate it if customers who have bottles that have paneled would let us know, and describe the conditions in which the bottles were stored. That is, was it hot, humid, dry, near a window with natural light, etc. This information will help us with the packaging of the product to avoid paneling in the future. In the meantime, we apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.
What is the extraction process used in our product Gugulplus?
In context, extraction refers to the separation by physical or chemical means, of the desired material from a plant with the aid of a solvent. In regards to Guggulplus, guggulusterones is separated (by soaking) from the guggel with the aid of alcohol. The guggulusterones are then concentrated, dried, and sieved to the desired standardization of 2.5% guggulusterones.
