Anise Seed Essential Oil -
1/3 oz, (Frontier)
Distilled from a common kitchen spice known as a star anise, Anise Seed Essential Oil is warm and spicy whose familiar licorice-like aroma is similar to fennel but sweeter. It is mixed with alcoholic spirits that create the French liquer called "Anisette" and is known to inspire exhilaration, euphoria, and elation to those who taste, smell, or rub on this oil. For Anise Seed Essential Oil is a mild antiseptic, an antispasmodic, a carminative, an expectorate, a galactagogue, a general stimulant as well as a stomachic. Recommended for massaging into the abdomen for menstrual pain, this oil is also used as a bronchio-dialator in order to support relief from any asthmatic or respiratory conditions associated with copious white phlegm, coughing, wheezing, or even bronchial asthma. Add a drop of anise seed oil on a teaspoon of sugar was believed to bring back the equilibrium to an acutely dyfunctional autonomic nervous system and its most possible uses are for the upper respiratory conditions, overindulgence, stomach and digestive complaints, plus menstrual cramps and pain. Color: Colorless to pale yellow Viscosity: Mobile liquid, solidifying at low temperatures Top Note: Clean, sweet Middle Note: Strong anisic (licorice-like) Dry Note: Woody-anethole, lightly tenacious Aromatherapy Actions: Cheering, mildly euphoric, sense enhancing Safety Data: May be an eye/skin irritant. Avoid during pregnancy.
SUGGESTED USAGE Anise oil contains a natural substance that can form white crystals in the oil. If this happens, warm the bottle slightly until the crystals dissolve. Instant Inspiration: Waft open bottle under nose. Joyful Atmosphere: 5 drops anise, 3 drops clary sage, 4 drops lemon in a lamp ring diffuser. Keep out of reach of children. For external use only. Dilute properly. Avoid if pregnant. CAUTION: IF PREGNANT, SUFFERING FROM ANY MEDICAL CONDITION, OR TAKING MEDICATION, CONSULT A HEALTH CARE PRACTITIONER BEFORE USE. DILUTE PROPERLY · MAY IRRITATE SKIN NOT FOR INTERNAL USE KEEP OUT OF REACH OF CHILDREN

PRODUCT REVIEW Anise Seed Essential Oil can be applied topically in a carrier oil or used through inhalation in a burner, diffuser or other simple inhalation method. You can put 2 to 4 drops in a glass of warm water or 1 to 2 drops with a small amount of sweetner to take internally. As an added note, Anise Seed Essential Oil also contains a natural substance that can form white crystals in the oil. If this happens, warm the bottle slightly until the crystals dissolve. Dilute this oil properly and avoid it if you are pregnant or have an estrogen-dependent illness. If you are pregnant, suffering from any medical condition or taking any medication, consult a health care practitioner before using this oil. It may irritate your skin or eyes and is not considered for internal use, only for external use. Keep this oil and other essential oils out of the reach of children.
