Dong Quai has been used for thousands of years in traditional Chinese, Korean, and Japanese medicine. It remains one of the most popular plants in Chinese medicine, in which it is used primarily for women. In Chinese medicine, Dong Quai is often found in formulas for liver "qi" stasis and spleen deficiency.
