It is very moisturizing without being greasy or irritating. You can even use it on your face. It does have a scent that is herbal with just a touch of floral, but men could use it, too. It's not exactly feminine, just not a sharp vegetal smell, like some herbal products can have. I suffer from chronic back and neck pain and spent the weekend moving into my new home. As you can imagine by the end of the weekend I was in SEVERE pain. This little jar of natural pain relief worked so quickly that after the second application I was ready to carry that washer and drier back up another flight of stairs. It has a slight medicinal smell, but is none too offensive. Definitely worth picking up for anyone with an ache that just won't go away.
